Mario bros level editor

If I install upside down pipes only SMB Utility can see it while GreatEd does not or other SMB2J related objects. The most part of the review is that GreatEd doesn’t emulate SMB1 like with SMB Utility. I also notice that the Loop Commands are re-written after you open the SMB1 original ROM and save it (make sure you uncheck read only) so I haven’t got time to test the feature further because it can only load loops by area number which is great but I prefer the original SMB1 or SMB2J loop code. What is incredibly annoying is that you can’t open levels while a certain code reaches ram $6000 or $7000 (I have copied SMB2J items and change the RAM address to $F000 manually) based on the in-game objects or enemies. The features of the editor is cool such as editing warp zones, coins for 1-UP even the Spiny fall hacks but how can you miss the Bowser kill enemies feature for each world although you can extend by adding more enemies if you relocate the LDA address into free space. Unlike SMB Utility, you can’t swap enemies or objects you can only add or delete them. However I have complaints of why I didn’t like it as much as using SMB Utility. I have enjoyed using GreatEd and I think it’s pretty cool to use and I think it’s an extent to the SMB1 romhacking community.
