He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Janet (Dyson) brother, James Doe and sister, Juliette Dodds. His family includes his wife of 57 years, Jane two children, son James (June) Doe of Cedar Falls and daughter Jamie (Jordan) Dawson of Des Moines four grandchildren, Julie (Jack) Duke of Sioux City, Jackie Doe of Iowa City, and Jason (Jodie) Doe of Mason City sister-in-law, Josephine Donovan of Dubuque and several nieces and nephews.
on Saturday, April 30, 2005, at the Community Center at 1234 1st Street, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. A memorial service to celebrate John’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. John Robert Doe, 75, of Cedar Rapids, died on Sunday, April 24, 2005, in his home surrounded by his family after an extended illness.
